John Anderson WBA Newcastle Utd and Republic of Ireland legend returns to his home of football to watch the next generation of players progress under Noel Kelly and Steve Gerathy. John had some words of wisdom for the U11 team post match. John left for WBA when John Giles as player manager of WBA called to his home to sign him and snap him out of the clutches of Man Utd. Stella man John Giles realized the potential of John and fellow Stella team mates Ray Cook and Ger Kelly signing all 3 players. John represented Ireland and schoolboy Youth and made 16 Senior International appearances. At club level he was a member of a famous Newcastle Utd side which also featured the likes of Chris Waddle, Peter Beardsley, Kevin Keegan and Terry McDermott.
